In Masters > Departments the organizational structure (departments) can be defined. This structure can be used to view information per unit in the application Utilization. It can also be used to set Data Security in the application Resources.
Departments can be set up in a hierarchy.
For each Department you can define a Manager and a Back-up Manager which are used in the approval workflow for submitted time and expense sheets. This only applies when approval is set to manager department in stead of project manager as defined in the System Settings. You can also define a Resource Manager which is used in the approval workflow for resource bookings.
There must be at least one department available for creating resources and projects. All departments must be linked to a legal entity. This is a required field in creating an department.
Monthly snapshot email - Determines that every month on the 2nd day, the department manager receives an email with a recap of all the developments in the past month.
